Did you know that by 2010, its been projected that 32% to 40% of young men and women who part of Generation Y (those born between 1977-1994) will make up the entire workplace in America. What’s even more striking about this workplace projection is the fact that most frontline employees are between the ages of 15-27 years of age and in a study done by Greenberg, Quilan, and Rosner in 2005 entitled, “Coming of Age In America”, 6 in 10 young men and women respondents of this younger generation planned to be at the top in 5 years. With 50% of senior managers and executives at Fortune 500 companies today planning to retire in the next five years, you would think that this desired goal by many young men and women who are part of Generation Y looks good.

Unfortunately, although it seems positive for most men and women of Generation Y, the reality is that almost all these senior managers and executives that plan to leave these Fortune 500 companies in the next five years have no faith in the leadership of this emerging Generation in America and with 70% of older workers dismissive of young workers according to Lee Hecht Harrison survey in 2005, its quite obvious that there are some key issues that will need to be addressed over the next five to ten years in various businesses and organizations across the country.

To help solve this huge problem along with many others similar to this problem that exists within many organizations, companies, teams, families, schools, colleges, and businesses, “A Call to Action” has been created for three specific reasons:
